I've been writing about the "Black Conscious Community" recently not for viewership, but simply because I believe in truth. I believe that moral fiber - the thing that drive us all to be one way opposed to another is important not only for myself, but for everyone who ever endeavors to be the best version of themselves. Truth is a very singular thing if I can steal a quote from my favorite movie "Cloud Atlas".

"Truth is singular, its versions are mistruths."  

Over the years since my initial entry into the conscious community, I've had challenges  with the way that we have treated each other. The viciousness in which we try to destroy one another for mere slights and petty attacks at ones character. This observation was made valid as I watched the trauma unfold in regards to our brother Young Pharaoh and his experiences with the affiliates of HOK (House of Konsciousness). As I watched the events what I saw a sick and demented people attempt to destroy a young man's character and nearly take his freedom for nothing more than a petty rivalry between two different trains of thought.

Last night I viewed a livestream hosted by brother Kev Gillz in which Young Pharaoh shared his story about how he first was exposed to Consciously Black YouTube and how those experiences lead to court appearances and de-facto gag-orders which prevented him from speaking his truth about what happened and why he was/is so persistent to make his followers aware of the treachery behind HOK and the people that associate themselves with the platform.

I'd first like to start with the working definition of Treachery: (from Dictionary.com)

Noun,

1. violation of faith; betrayal of trust; treason.

2.act of perfidy, faithlessness, or treason.

I don't know Young Pharaoh personally however, I'd like to speculate that in the beginning he revered the people of HOK. That deep respect and admiration of people who saw life similar to how he did. Who wanted many of same things for that black community and aspired to assist the community in bettering itself from the inside. Time would show our brother that all skin folk ain't kin folk.

The unfortunate series of events that followed Pharaoh's interaction which Black Conscious YouTube paints a broader picture of how severely sick a depraved we still are as a people. Our inability to value each others lives as sacred and important aspects collectively and individual only show the work that we still have to do. To benefit the whole, we must first start with self.

So I know you came here to read about the treachery so let's talk about it. According to Pharaoh,  his revelations came when he realized his interactions on the platform were set up as impromptu debates with other members to bash and demoralized the thoughts he presented. A rivalry quickly began as the group "Amun Ra" as a whole or in part began to criticize Pharaoh as begin a "idiot, immature and pseudo". Amun Ra had no respect for Pharaoh, even when time and time again he attempt to hash out the issue with them. Pharaoh left the squabble alone and continued to speak with his already surmounting audience.

Meanwhile, a member of Amun Ra, Dr. Maat (Deanna Bailey) pressed criminal charges and filed a restraining order against Pharaoh - a man she had never met in person. According to Pharaoh not only was this a defamation against him but it could have potentially cause Pharaoh to violate his parole and have committed to jail time as a result.  He also acknowledge that unknown persons called the court with claims that Pharaoh would "shoot up the courtroom" causing more of a aggressive presence at his arrival.

These incidents occurred after a already failing  experience with brother polight never sending goods worth several hundred dollars to Pharaoh which led to sa neter (founder of HOK) having to intervene to return payment for said goods.  Pharaoh also had his GoFundMe reported with false claims of never utilizing the money for it's listed purpose which resulted in the campaign to be terminated. Pharaoh also claims to hold the transcripts in which Bailey perjured herself under oath during the trail of how she met Pharaoh, threats against her and her son's life, harassment, claims to bring a fire arms onto public property for malicious intent.

All these incidents led to Pharaoh's YouTube channel being placed under investigation by his parole.


My final thoughts are, the truth will ALWAYS come to the light. In this case of Young Pharaoh, the treacheries that were committed against him would lead us to believe that these people are no different that the "devils" they claim are our mortal enemies. They behave and move in symmetry with them. These people have stood passively by while claims of money fraud, verbal assault, potential incarceration go unchecked and foster the breeding ground for more of the same.

What I think on the matter is that it's high time that we as a collective start to draw lines in the sand against these supposed leaders of consciousness who will go to such lengths to destroy other in community they see as a nominal threat to their conglomerate. To sabotage and defame their own family for petty grievances. At what cost will we stand up and strengthen our spines with a moral fiber that doesn't collapse for social media fame and celebrity. What are will willing to stand for if even social media citizenship supersedes the threshold of our better natures.
